A converted lurker :)

Hi all,
Have been lurking a while, reading and learning a lot.
You all seem like a friendly bunch!!
I love the outdoors and am keen to try detecting, I believe it will really suit me as an enjoyable activity.
I have a wife and 3 boys and we like to go camping but we are only now getting into the more self sufficient type camping.....
You know without a swimming pool and a giant bouncy pillow!
I live in NSW and have a garret 250 which I swing around the Central Coast beaches occasionally.
But I am planning a trip out to the Bathurst area in May, with a buddy for some detecting and camping, we will be hiring detectors.
I have a few questions to ask about that and about good places to take kids for fossicking and panning etc... But I will ask those over in the appropriate forum.

Hi Steve. Welcome to PA. Yes we are a friendly, helpful bunch. Feel free to ask anything if you can't find it yourself. Some of the more knowledgeable members will be along to help you out.
Camping and fossicking certainly go hand in hand. Fun for all the family.
There are a few members on the central coast as well. Best of luck with your detecting.
