    Creeks after floods

Would be excellent if anyone living in & around some of our favourite spots could post pics or vids of creeks & rivers in flood.

    Balxie's Gold Adventures videos.

Great vid Balx! Funny I just bought an Angus McKirk as well .... same sentiment, got tired of lugging pump, hoses & high banker ..... also much more serene experience without the sound of the pump buzzing in the background. Hope to head out your way in the Spring. Cheers Drewe.

    Hi from the N.E Vic

Great to have you aboard Hodgie - I like your area, will try getting up that way in Feb. Balx - have been away from forum for a bit, was not aware you got up to Beechworth, hope you did well.

    Big hole outrage?

Agree with you on that Balx - Under the water should be no big deal at all ..... These greenies love to find something to whinge about though, sadly it's what they live for.

    Miner or Bust

Big fan of D'arcy too ....... preferred the old intro' song but great to see anything of his - been a while coming. I did wonder if he was gonna do his back one day with all the boulder shiftin' - of all things he has now done it shovelin' snow. I once had a crappy back - swimming laps for...

    Balxie's Gold Adventures videos.

Nice one Balx - good to see Brayden taking the starring role again. I've found the same with those narrow creeks - you can bend the rules a bit WRT where the gold is supposed to be deposited, seems to be all through much of the time. Heading up near Castlemaine solo for a couple of days next...

    Barrel classifier

It's more than half the fun - the tinkering and the finetuning ..... in the end we're left with something far removed from the original. Trouble is I'm now in need of a bigger garage. Really like your work Joe.

    Prospectors Ages

Well into my fifth decade, 45.5, only took up prospecting this year in my search for the fountain of youth.

    Barrel classifier

Yet another classifier approach (apologies if this has already been covered). I like it! - could be handy for those who are highbanking material that is out of pump/hose-reach, would cut down on the trips back 'n forth if the rocks are screened out at the ore source. Great for river sluicing...

    Gold Price Discussion

I suppose, if they had waited till now to sell then it would almost pay the interest (for one year) on the debt Labor has racked up over the past six years. .....Perspective. My perfect hindsight says I should have sold all I had back then and put it all into gold. Gold will do be worth...

    Gold Rush TV Series information

Yeah Parker must stink to high-hell wearing the same hoodie all season. I might be A cynic but I'd say most of the infuriating poor decisions are a deliberate attempt to introduce more drama to the show. I enjoy watching it for what it is. Balx, I'm the same with forgetting stuff - might be...

    Gold Price Discussion

Jim Rogers prediction is for gold to make a 'complicated bottom' over the next days/months/year (or two) & thinks it could go down to US$960 per ounce. Near a 50% retrace from it's top, seems he thinks this is necessary before it is "off to the races again". My gold stocks will suffer for a bit...

    Your favourite quotes and sayings.

Thinking about the literal interpretation of this cracks me up: 'Up shit creek without a paddle' Also fond of: 'Go with the flow ..... like a dead fish'

WalnLiz Gemstone and gold fossicking videos.

That was a great watch Wal&Liz! Takes a finely tuned eye I'm sure. Hope there's more videos to come from your trip away. Drewe.
  15. Mr Sism

    Balxie's Gold Adventures videos.

Just watched both your vids - just great to see where we'll be next w/e - your son will have some cool memories of hanging out with Dad. Great stuff! Looks like the crevice sucker is a useful tool in that area (with all those big rocks) - will bring mine. Drewe.

Prospecting / Gold Related TV Shows.

......Still it's all good for a laugh ..... Haven't seen any of season 2 but season 1 was absurd. I am looking forward to the next season of Goldfathers though (if they're planning a next season) .......... I believe D'arcy Cooper is involved in another one coming out of British Columbia...

Great Site for finding gold in Victoria

I'm thinking misscadillac has a V8 water pump set-up in mind. Drewe.

Great Site for finding gold in Victoria

It is a great resource, Balx is on the money - spending a bit of time playing around with the layers is well worth the effort, the Geovic 3 version also allows you to alter the transparency of each layer too which I find very useful in emphasising the more important features and dropping back...

Citigroup Sees Gold at $3,500/oz; Silver Jumping to $100/oz

Evening 'Scoopa', Yes I say 'reasonable' when you take into account the unreasonable ways that governments globally are churning out the currency - I think gold has the best part of another decade from now where it will be a sound refuge. I own silver and gold bullion and will likely buy more...
