OK, I'm officially a dope. Somehow I managed to post my original listing under "Wanted to buy", so lets hope I've got it right this time.
As I said in my "expression of interest" post, buggered wrist have got the better of me. I can't dig much anymore so I'm having a big clean out.

As I said in my "expression of interest" post, buggered wrist have got the better of me. I can't dig much anymore so I'm having a big clean out.
I have however, decided to keep my Gold Monster and a couple of other bits, sentimental reasons I guess.
Anyway, here's the list...
Hi gang,
I have a heap of prospecting gear which I cant use anymore because of dodgy wrists.
Before I go to the trouble of photographing and listing all the bits and pieces on other sites, I thought I'd see how much interest there might be in some of it in PA.
The list includes ;-
Minelabs -...
Hi Reg,
I appreciate your comment, but as I stated earlier, all the rivers, streams, creeks around here are on the banned list.
I have pans, yabbie pump, sieves etc, which I manage to use from time to time, but also have a hibanker, two sluices and a little 4 stroke pump which are useless to me...
Pretty hard to be a prospector and avoid disappointment.
It's always nice to get an opinion from other who use them. My favorite saying is, "The best mistakes to learn from, are the ones that others make", mind you, I've learnt from many of my own too.
Cheers, Ron.
Ha Ha,
A German Shepard eh. Old neighbors had one, nothing relaxed or quiet about it. Barked and threatened to tear me apart every time it saw me.
I have a greyhound and would have picked one of them for the comparison. Sleeps for 23 hour a day, eats for 1/2 hr and digs dirty great gopher holes...
Thanks DED.
Pretty much the info I was after (and suspected).
Can you give me an idea of the sizes/depths of the finds you've made with the GM1000 thus far please.
I'd be interested to know what to expect.
Cheers, Ron.
Hi everyone,
Its been quite a while since I posted anything. I ended up moving to Mansfield Vic and lost interest in prospecting for some time. I sold my Garrett ATX as I couldnt justify having it lay around, but I kept my Xterra 705 as it doesnt owe me much and thought it might be handy.
Theres...
Yeah,I just realised. Dunno how the hell I did that. I obviously didn't check did I.
I've just reposted it and will add it here as well.

G'day guys,
Some of you may have already seen this video on youtube, but if you haven't, and you're chasing more depth with your ATX, this is "MUST" viewing".

Using the settings shown here, I've found bloody hair pins at nearly...
Sorry fellas, I quoted this post before I realized it referred to Qld.
I got back in to edit it and deleted what I had to say. I thought your points were referring to the proposed new Vic legislation.
Cheers Ron.
They occur in the Northern Territory as well.
About 20 years ago I was working at a powerhouse on an Aboriginal community called Ramangining, East of Darwin and not too far from the coast. My boss and I were cleaning up some dried leaves etc. and as he bent over to pick up a small pipe of leaves...
I'm thinking a sluice can be as long as you like, provided the water speed can be maintained with the right fall. I'd expect that the longer it was, the less frequently you'ld need to clean out. Geez, wouldn't it be good. A dirty great sluice, worked for a day, then a cleanout to reveal the...
Hey Nugget. How're they hangin?
The reason I ask is about 35 years ago I was walking across some short grass, and a bloody great Brown Snake had a go. If I hadn't been able to swat him away with the tennis racquet I was carrying in my swinging hand at the time, he woulda got me in the family...
Yeah, but when the wind's a blowin, the tent's a flappin, the water's a flowin and the ground sheet's a leakin, who ya gunna call,,,, yep, the guy with the van,,,lol.
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
Another vote for the 4 person Coleman Instant Tent.
Ripper fly which only goes part way down the side of the tent, and is able to be pulled well clear but still protecting windows from rain. The roof of the tent proper, has a large vent, and the fly covers this with about 4 inches clearance...
Hi guys,
dwt, wombat and I finally caught up with each other at the PMAV Bendigo branch meeting in the Whipstick last weekend.
At this stage the best I can report is that Lynnie, (PMAV Bendigo president) and her crew have done a massive amount of work and organizing stuff already.
I'm sure...
