Hi everyone

Just been doing some research of old gold mines and where it has been found and a location close to Perth popped up that was pretty interesting. The diggings in Jimperding showed that it was proven to produce gold and that small nuggets where found there.

After looking at Tengraph i sorta have an idea of where the diggings are but I can basically see that whole area is farm land or private owned. Has anyone been out here or know the people that own the spot where the diggings are? Would love to have a look and have a swing for gold or even some relics! Can also Pm me if its hush hush!

Thanks guys

Yes, i have been to the jimperding diggings and yes it is on private land. The diggings are in a deep valley with a running creek that has the biggest Tiger Snakes i have ever seen. Tiger Snakes are an all year snake, cold or hot they are active, take care. The area around the brook is very reedy.
i gained access from Morangup rd.
The brook goes by Jimperding brook, Yindinning brook and also Jingaling brook.

@penndragon I've been told that Tiger Snakes love swampy areas, definitely not a snake I would like to bump into! Can I flick you a Pm about that area?

penndragon hasn't been back to the forum since October last year, so don't expect a quick response. You may be better off to try PMing him anyway.

I have been talking to another member on PM about jimperding, so you can Pm any time. I brought out my prized find form the area, a 12.5 gram found in the creek, not my biggest but my prettiest.
