We moved to WA just over a year ago and planning on a little weekend away down Margaret River. Does anyone know where we can stay I.e log cabins etc and they allow you to metal detect around their rivers or bush land. I want to start teaching my son and have a little family time away ...

As I learned I searched my type of detector on YouTube and watched the tutorial on how to set up and swing. Best place is the beach as you cant go wrong for learning and you know your ok to swing and not be on private property or parkland reserves ??
Hey guys its been a while since ive logged on, looked out the AT Gold and cleaned the dust off, took my son out yesterday and had a blast, he is learning hahaha, glad to be back out swinging
My mate and his wife want to start detecting after seeing and hearing all my stories on finds :cool: lol
He is on a budget and just wants a basic to learn, just like we all did when we first started.
So im after a Garrett ace 250 or Xterra 305 - Possibly a second hand Pinpointer Garrett or...
We found our first Sydney token too and i know that feeling, such a cool find and surprised how good a condition they stay in for being so old

Yeh im super excited, I have a AT Gold so i know its possible to find, But its even more exciting having a holiday for the first time in 5 yrs :( Poor me
