    Gladstone region

Hey was passing through some old forums and saw your post about Gladstone people coin shooting - there are a few around but unsure if they are all buddies or in a group. If you want to team up or made a group let me know would like to meet others. Mod edit, emails not permitted on the open...

    Prospecting (Gladstone Area)

Late to the postings but there is an alternative site. Its on the southern side of the mountian, near lady larcom. There are creekbeds with good running shallow water and is mostly untouched. Due to its owned by someone and has a nice big private property sign. The road is accessible for the...

Etiquette for asking permission to prospect on private property

Gumtree is a left field approach IMHO, and unsure if a farmer or landholder would be looking for that add while searching for livestock / farm tools etc. However, I will like to add, from my relatives who run dairy properties in QLD, when you go and when you have been accepted to wander around...

Night park detecting with the Ace 250

Nah - the markets were on for 2 days and the Harbour Festival was on for 5 days. There were all these little 10cm round holes in the grass where people would have walk. I can only assume that they had a little spade and were doing round circle holes looking for money just on the top couple of...

Night park detecting with the Ace 250

Ok. I can say I am unaffected here. I have met other people out detecting but noticed they didn't have a screwdriver or fine tool to dig with and were guessing around or didn't have a pro pointer. Today I walked an esplanade and noticed someone else had swept it as there were nice round little...

Garrett ACE 250 or Minelab 305 or something else??

Ace 250 user here also. Its pretty good for parks beaches and sports and other well populated areas. Look at coin shooting forum and you will see a lot. Also read up on how to pull targets out with a screwdriver or something combined with a pin pointer and you will be a pro and not getting...

YAY / Score / Happy dance - found a nice ring

And a sleuth of people on a classifieds is trying to find the owner right now. Some one says they know some one who knows a dogs owner that lost a ring but so far no one is able to tell me the engraving nor the location I found it :)

YAY / Score / Happy dance - found a nice ring

Just went out for a walk with the dog around the sports oval before anything special happens and I have a great score. $4 in change and two rings. This is the best one though with engravings inside.
