Wondering Why Oil, Petrol and Diesel prices are as bad as they are ?.....

Now after reading this, I think I know why...o_O.....

Saudi Arabia’s oil giant Aramco has reported a record annual net profit of $161bn (£134bn) for 2022, up 46% from the previous year on higher energy prices, increased volumes sold and improved margins for refined products.

The profits, which are around triple those of Exxon’s $56bn, follow similar reports in February from international peers such as BP , Shell and Chevron, which mostly posted record profits last year.

Oil prices swung wildly in 2022, climbing on geopolitical worries about the war in Ukraine, then sliding on weaker demand from China and worries about a global economic contraction, Reuters reports.

I have a problem at one of my local supermarkets. When my wife shops there everytime she is consistantly over charged on multiple discounted items. Fortunately she has a much better memory than I do verging on photographic and with a quick browse of her receipt she will indentify the two or three items they have done this on and we will get the said items for free as store policy dictates. Now here is the problem... 1. Most people probably dont notice like I wouldnt especially if I am doing a big shop like she does and get ripped off 2. The manager gets all bitchy about it ( yes he is a man but a total bitch all the same ) and tries to turn the people in the que behind her against her by saying in a loud voice so everyone can hear " if you had watched the items be scanned you could pick up the mistakes as they happen and save time for everyone else " hard to do when you have kids and are busy packing bags and 3. Doesnt beleive her like shes the crim and makes her go to every item around the supermarket to show to him the individual items that she has never got wrong btw. We then get the item for free but never once got an apology or noticed they are improving......this is really annoying as well as verging on illegal if you could prove it was intentional and I tell her she should really take me with her next time but she avoids it.... Probably for the better. I dont like theives much.

Wokeness........... Phrases such as “shut up” and words like “queer” and “brown” have been cut from a classic children’s series in the latest “woke” censorship.
Yeah they're all a bunch of sooks.
A friend of mine came from Malta. He would laugh like mad when someone called him a wog. He loved it, all in fun.

I understand your issue mate. Yesterday we went to the supermarket , Large one, and my wife wanted Weet-Bix. So we buy the same size box every two weeks and lo and behold the price has been Locked and Loaded at $6.00 however it was only $5.00 two weeks ago. Honestly when you look at the large supermarkets when their PRICE CUTS, most of the items we would never buy as I don't call it "Food" more like " Sugar Treats" and when you find something on special that you want there isn't any stock. Mackka

According to woke language change doctrine apparently my gut isnt getting "fat" anymore I am in my mid 40s it is just getting more "enormous". Makes me feel much better. 😜🤣

A former girl friend once asked me if her bum looked big in this dress. I wasn't much interested so i said wait a minute and i'll take a photo and you can see for yourself. I wore that every day.
i'll never understand why that was an issue till the day that the relationship ended. Only a woman knows what a woman wants / and only a man knows what a man wants.

Tell the truth or lie, keep both options open. Its ultimately about her happiness anyway. No glory in being an honest dead man lol.

Today we drove into a shopping centre carpark & I seen a young bloke all of about 3yo standing next to a car crying. "Someone's in trouble" I joked to the wife.
On finding a carpark I glanced over again & quickly realised he was by himself, more trouble than I'd thought. How long he'd been there with numerous cars going past & also pedestrians pretending not to notice him? Obviously nobody had bothered to check what was going on.
The wife & myself headed straight over.
After some coaxing we eventually got his first name & enough trust that he came with us into the supermarket nearby.
The staff put his name over the loudspeaker & soon his mother arrived. Not frantically looking for her son but seemingly just carrying on with her grocery shopping. Very calm about it all. She said "you know what kids are like, he just took off".
FFS do you think you might have gone after him rather than continue shopping while he dodges traffic in the carpark (that some think is a race track)? And the other people that drove/walked past that are too busy to help a kid it seems?
Hate to think what could've happened because people can't be bothered these days..... 🙄

mmmm, my response, whilst taking her photo, would be phoning child welfare services and making sure I got her rego.

That's all good in retrospect but we weren't expecting that. We thought we'd find an upset mum/dad frantically searching for their child.
Unfortunately we weren't really prepared for a calm mum, seemingly casually going about her shopping. We were a bit taken aback to be honest.

Round figures........ 380 Billion for subs over 10 years is.... 520 weeks of $730,769,230.76 or.... $104,395,604 per day
F Me thats a LOTT of Dosh
My understanding is that it is over 30 years, not 10 years, so divide by 3. There is another way of looking at it. They say it will be 0.15% of GDP. At present we spend 1.85% of GDP annually on defence spending. So an increase to 2%, which is what most nations spend (Trumps complaint was that a few European nations did not, and he argued that America should not be picking up the tab for their defence- a sore point that many American's supported. So we are increasing our annual defence spending by 3.9% Everyone seems to ignore that we already spend more than 12 times the cost of the submarines annually on defence (and odds are that there will be some savings there anyway).

And I notice that the media has jumped at the upper figure in the announced range (which includes upgrading our shipyards)"

"The total cost of the submarine program is estimated to be A$268 billion to A$368 billion by 2055, or roughly 0.15% of gross domestic product per year, a defence official told Reuters". Another figure announced was $245 billion. Pretty rubbery.....
