We got out for a 2 hour swing tonight. Ventured a little closer to the city as we have almost exhausted our local area. Found just under $80, a couple of pennies and a threepence

Another hunt today. Went for a couple hours to 2 areas we have been to before. Got about $48 total. Its getting harder to find local areas that we haven't cleaned out...

Ventured a little closer to the city last night. Was another average night of just $42 between us. Some very trashy places. Visited 4 different spots, none of which paid out at all really. Detectorist found his first rams head stuck to a 2c piece in a honey hole of 7 coins

Must have been a nasty scuffle back in the sixties, hole had six 1 & 2 cent coins, one of which had stuck firmly to the front of the rams head (unsure of year yet but was King George) and also a stain on the back from one of the coins. Took a bit of effort to pull them apart.

2c is probly gunna be a 66 then Detectorist... they were still using both together for a while until people and banks pulled all the silvers from service. Should clean up nicely.

Found my first florin today amongst some spendables. Typically it came at a time and place when I was least expecting it. Cleaned up quickly with some water and bicarb. Bit rough on the back.

Nice one, a soak in citric acid or lemon juice will help eat that crud off. Then another bi carb rub.
