Probably overdone it with the riffles , fun making it though.

I copied a bloke under the name "astrobouncer" on you tube, he's got some pretty good builds all timber.
No haven't tried it yet ,I've built a couple over the time one aluminium which worked fine don't know where that went ,and another timber one with matting and timber riffles more recently .
A steel " hogpan" is next, that looks pretty good. Following that a flail type rock crusher .

Nice build mate. I played a little with drop riffles last year they work great on fine gold unfortunately where i work the ironstone often overwhels the srop riffle. Howd you make one out of aluminum
 
G'day Golding,the aluminium one was a sheet just folded over a piece of angle into a channel it wasn't a drop riffle . The riffles were in a frame like a drywasher and they pressed down onto rubber matting , no flare at the front ,basic.
Those fluid bed sluices look pretty good .
