I remember this as if it happened yesterday. On the 14th of Feb, 1966, mum gave me a penny. Put it into a gum machine and turned the handle. Out popped a pack of juicy fruit gum. After Sumner Miller there was another Professor Menzel I think, had a goete beard without the moustache and I think it was called the Summer of Science ( just what you want to watch on holidays but very informative).
