U.S. Dog Tag

Hey, does anyone know how to look up a U.S. dog tag for a man who lived in Australia?
One side says U.S. ARMY
The other side has details as for the name,

Robert Ellery
3 hatchinson st
Penrith
Serial no. ?47 331877

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It does not appear so. There's one Robert Ellery but he was US located.

Is it actually a real US Army dog tag? Name, rank and serial number sounds legit, as per the Geneva Convention, but home address??? To me, that seems like too much personal info to reveal to an enemy during combat.

they would only include the following:

Each was mechanically stamped with your name, rank, service number, blood type and religion, if desired. An emergency notification name and address were initially included on these, but they were removed by the end of the war. They also included a "T" for those who had a tetanus vaccination, but by the 1950s that, too, was eliminated.

Just out of interest, someone posted this one on the Facebook group "ID Me Australia" today.
I assume it was detected somewhere in Australia.

It confirms a bit about the home address being included then taken off.
