twin coils and fast changeover switch

does anyone make a twin coil holder that allows a fast changeover between coils ?

You could look at the expert CAD drawing below but there isnt one so you will have to look at the 3 minute paint sketch instead . lol

two coils stay mounted , you have a multipole two position switch up top to flick between coils , spin the coil around that you want to use , rebalance and you're back in business


how far away would the top coil have to be so it wont create interference ?


any thorts peepil ?

manual changeover takes too long

Hmmm, an interesting concept - would weight become an issue? Perhaps a mono wound outside a double D would be a bit less unweildly - same question though, would it interfere? Cheers, Mark
 
It would be a pain , it doesn't take long to change a coil and I believe the second coil would have to be a fair distance away which would make it impossible to use :rolleyes:
