Thought I had my first small nugget !!!!

Very small, but was excited about getting my first nugget.

Cleaned it up with some vinegar and salt.

unfortunately it looks to be a small piece of copper. Looks more shiney than the picture shows.

well Phil if you are finding small thing like that it will only be a matter of time before the yellow comes to light for you

Bit of a downer there Luckyphil .... often get my hopes up when that really odd shape is isolated in the scoop, always a bugger when it turns out to be a jagged piece of lead.
However, finding stuff like that indicates you're 'tuned in' and the real yellow shouldn't be too far away.

Also found lots of bullets, lead shot, air rifle pellets and wire
