It is playing here in Goulburn until Wednesday the 14th December at The Lilac City Cinema 12.40pm and 8.40pm.Been waiting for this one.

Another bushranger, Johnny Gilbert, is buried not far from Goulburn on Burley Griffin Way on the road to Binalong. He had 630 armed holdups to his name.

Johnny Gilbert was a member of Ben Halls gang.Gilbert,Johnnie Dunn and Ben Hall were involved in a shootout with the Faithfull brothers near Goulburn.Hall and his gang attacked the brothers and were surprised that the teenagers fired back,a short battle ensued and the Faithfull brothers escaped.The only casualty was Gilbert's horse.There is an article on trove from the Goulburn Herald which was published on the 8th Febuary 1865 which details the incident.

Just home from watching the movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it.Don't want to ruin it for anyone so won't go into details but do yourself a favour and go and see it.
