Heres the setup: There are five houses, each painted a different color. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. These five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is, who owns the fish?

Here are the clues:
The Brit lives in the red house
The Swede keeps dogs as pets
The Dane drinks tea
The green house is on the left of the white house
The green houses owner drinks coffee
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
The man living in the centre house drinks milk
The Norwegian lives in the first house
The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats
The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer
The German smokes Prince
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house
The man who smokes blend has a neighbour who drinks water

Or am I reading too much into this....................which has been known to happen.

Can't lay claim to working it out, did it at a conference a few years ago and just remembered it was the German and for Madtunas sake let's call him Phillip.

The trick to these puzzles was explained by Megsy in a quiz not that long ago it's best to draw out a grid 5 boxs wide by 5 boxs high
Then add the information.

Norwegian Dane. Brit. German. Swede.

Yellow. Blue. Red. Green. White.

Water. Tea. Milk. Coffee. Beer.

Dunhill. Blend. Pallmall. Prince. Blue master.

Cat. Horses. Birds ........ Dogs.

........... ........... .......... Phillip. ............

So the German chap ( Phillip ) must own the fish. Simples . But what are the rest of there names , anyone ???? :lol:

This quiz was suggested to me by 7.62 Marksman. I did it but my score was next to dismal being a South Australian I really dont know a lot about the Victoian gold rush. The last 8 or 9 questions are a bit different.
