Hi guys/girls

Is there a gold season in Qld. I've heard a few lads say they only detect in the cooler months, wondering if the heat of the sun and ground sends the detector crazy

Cheers

I think you'll find that most of the year is ok except when it's the rainy season=mainly the summer months. This also the hottest time. It can get very cold during the winter months.

Thanks jros cause I'm still very amature just thought we'll ya wouldn't be swinging in the heat of the day., maybe a few hrs in the morning and late arvo, spend the hot parts in the river swimming,

Less grass in winter allows coil to get closer to ground
Less electrical noise resulting in the detector running quieter
A lot lot lot cooler. FNQ is hot and humid over summer, SEQLD just hot
less snakes.
Less ticks in winter

Yeh ok we do a fair bit of camping in the summer months might of missed getting a decent swing in cause of work commitments, but hopefully in a few weeks time still might just be cool enough
