Hello all Ive been playing fossicking for years on and off but have got serious last two years. Ive found some pretties Im not sure on. Found around Torrington glen Innes Inverell lighting ridge and surrounds.
Would love some suggestions
I know the Smokeys the various quartz opals .
Its the topaz/diamond/rock crystal and such Im new to.

Quartz in crystal form will generally have a 6 side shape where topaz will generally have a 4 side crystal shape. The top stone is worth closer inspection.

Thankyou. I have jars of stones and 3 weeks ago was at Torrington area. I grab anything shiny or transperant or crystal shaped . The clarity of some confuse me as Im still learning. I am looking to move to the area and will pick the brains of all and sundry ? I am so glad of this site!!!

I do wonder about the brown point and black and white. I think tourmaline as it had pencil stripes on black. The brown is about 2.5 high and 2 cm wise. The one Im holding is Smokey but one side is mica shiny?
