Hey guys was seeing what would be the best resource for a newbie how to read gold riched rivers and where to dig what to look for and what other related stuff to help me a little

Is there a history of alluvial gold around that creek you are looking at or thinking about ? can you see any evidence of old workings ? Ie stacked stone, old broken bottles or perhaps unnatural depressions and contours in the terrain, if so pan some material, thw stuff that lies close to the bedrock. Might satify your curiosity and you forget about it, or perhaps like me you see your first beautiful piece of gold and become anouther gold freak :Y:
