hi peoples from brisvegas
i'm looking for any helpful info on areas around s.e qld and also any info on how far the qld govt has come concerning the opening of state forests to prospectors - have yet to get out there due to family health issues atm but am itching to get out there and even find bullets lol cheers all and may you all be one with nature

Hey rompii,

Reckon your best best is google for a starting point. If you search minerals SE Qld or gold SE Qld you will get on the right track. Half of prospecting / detecting is detective work for the location, rest is perseverance and experience. Not 100% on the state forest situation but here in NSW a fossicking licence will get you in there but I don't think it covers detecting. Finding new spots or gold bearing ground near you is half the fun, we have it easy these days with the Internet, can do it all while watching the footy.
