Million Dollar Question

If you lived in Perth, and had:

* A good mate
* A new Pajero with a few extra bits
* A coupla swags
* A coupla hired gold detectors
* A week off work

Which direction would you go!

We are just out to have fun and not asking for anyone's secret spots, but should we go North, South or straight East?

Yes, we have no idea and it's our first trip, but that's why we are here!

We don't want to put ourselves in danger, and don't want to get shot. We will do the right paperwork, but just don't know where to start.

Any ideas within 8 hrs drive of Perth?

We first though Kalgoorlie, and are now talking Cue, but have heard it's not really friendly!

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Jeffsta

I live in vic so have no experience with WA, but from what i have read on hear, i would suggest that you start madly searching this website for all the information you will need.
I suggest that you slow down a bit and and make sure that you are well prepared before you head out into the outback, (do a search on missing WA prospectors).
