Lava Plains

Hi guys has anyone on here had a scratch around Lava Plains for sapphire ?

Never been in there myself Rumble. There's no designated fossicking area as I understand, it's private property. But I do hear that the owners had started letting people back in if you ring ahead. The number was posted on Australian Lapidary Forum.

Apparently, the stones are not found in a gravelly wash like on the central QLD field but in in something resembling black soil. That's all I know
