I've made my own practice gold for panning practice and sluice testing. I stole a few links off one of the wife's wrist chains (why not I did buy it didn't I :p )and chopped up one link into various sized chunks and flattened 2 of those chunks. Sharp eyes will notice that the flattened ones are missing from the pic - they blew out the end of my finishing sluice and floated out of the catch bucket :mad: first lesson learned and some tuning required :8

Other than that it's fantastic always finding gold in your pan :D it's damn hard to wash it out - has helped heaps refining my panning technique and speed not to mention my confidence ;) I recommend it other new chums.....

I thought that this was going to be lead painted with "Gold" paint. LOL
