While waiting for my new detector to arrive I went out today for a scout around at an area in the GT that Im looking to detect. The area I went to is a known gold producing area and while scratching around I came across several reefs many of which had been extensively worked and some which looked like they had no work done to them. I picked up these two pieces of reef which caught my eye and from my limited knowledge they are appear to be iron stone with mineralised quartz intrusions. I was wondering is these are the type of quartz and iron stone reefs which would indicate the potential for gold to be formed and are the areas that I found these work a detect.
