Hi Everyone,

My husband and I are newish opal miners in Coober Pedy.
Thought we’d give it our all but have hit a few snags along the way with plant breaking, claim getting flooded and just the day to day hiccups all miners tend to go through but what doesn’t kill us is making us stronger and if it was as easy as just moving a bit of dirt here and there everyone would be doing it!!

I reckon it's hard yakka all the way in that profession, just as it is in almost any small-scale mining endeavour. But I'm sure the joy of the finds will always outweigh the memories of the hard days, so here's hoping there's some beautiful colours just waiting to be uncovered by you and your husband.
