hi everyone, just joined and have been prospecting for 30 odd months now. I have a gpx5000 and still learning all the sounds. I have found an oz of gold now, all small nuggets except for the recent find of a 8.8 gram nugget found near Cue. love the bush but the heat is a killer.

Welcome Martin, it's getting a bit hot for most forms of detecting at the moment, probably the best place to be at the moment would be detecting down at the beach. Wishing you luck with your 5000, already looks like you are off to a good start.
