Selling my Minelab GPX5000 gold detector. It is in very good condition & still has just over 18 months Minelab warranty left to 16/02/2016. Was recently serviced by Minelab 22/04/2014, had a part replaced & was realigned + full function/performance tested ok. Paperwork will be provided. Will come with original invoice & Minelab warranty is transferrable.

All standard equipment included in the sale:
- control box
- battery & standard lead
- upper & lower shafts
- handle + quick track button
- 11" DD coil hardly used - like new. Has skid plate attached.
- 11" mono coil - in good used working condition. Normal marks from usage. Has skid plate attached.
- harness in good used condition
- headphones (never used)
- bungee cord & knuckle with very little use
- 240v & car charger
- instructions
- original box

Will also include the following extras:
- Nugget Finder 14"x7" mono coil in good working used condition
- 2 x extra lower shafts for quick coil change overs
- 1 x extra upper "S" bend shaft with quick track button (works but really needs soldering to momentary button, smart point connection is soldered properly - currently connected to screw terminals on momentary button but soldering would be better if you are interested in using regularly. Works fine if you just want to have as a spare as I have)
- cable guards for both upper shafts & knuckles to suit
- 1 x Double D control box cover with outer battery/gear pouch
- 1 x Double D standard control box cover
- 1 x external speaker with very little use
- 1 x extra Coiltek battery lead. Is stretched but works fine (I use it as it is longer than the standard lead)
- 1 x short battery lead to enable the use of the control box battery pouch (used once)

Pick up & inspection is available by arrangement. A large padded carry bag & metal case (for a guitar) will be provided extra only if picked up.
Postage at buyers expense - will quote depending on location. Also recommend registered & insured post.
Asking $5200 but open to reasonable offers.

Are you getting out of the game mbasko or making way for a new purchase? Either way best of luck with the sale.

Don't see that too often. A ML owner selling his "magic stick" . Don't tell me you've been swayed to Garrett MBasko ?

 No not getting out or defecting to Garrett. Don't seem to have the time the GPX5000 needs/deserves. They're great machines but you need to be spending a lot of time out with them to be worthwhile I reckon. I had planned on getting out at least once a week when I got it but reality these days is more like once a month & a simpler machine would help increase that. For someone with the time you won't get a better machine than the GPX but for the foreseeable future I won't be doing enough extended trips or even full days out to justify having it. If I was planning on going to WA or an extended trip through the Golden Triangle, I wouldn't leave home without at least a GPX4500 in my kit.
Seriously looking at the SDC2300 as a quick, easy to use option for days where time is limited. Can't afford to have both at the moment & see the SDC2300 as a good interim machine, that will suit a lot of local areas, until I can afford another GPX or the next Minelab super detector comes out.
Probably just stepping back a bit, machine wise, but also looking at ways to increase the time spent detecting & also anticipating the next top level machine Minelab do bring out. If the SDC is anything to go by it should be something special.

Edit: By the way if anyone's interested it's located in Mudgee NSW 2850 for inspection/pick up. If my roster suits a test run on a local goldfield could be arranged also for genuine buyers.

I completely understand, not enough hours in the day sometimes. Based on many reports I've seen, I'm sure you'll be very happy with the SDC2300.
