Army ration

It beats me how people can carry a heap of these in there pack

There is a lot of food items in this one pack

I am amazed how much fit's into one pack

How long does one pack ment to last?

What is the use by date on these?

Australian Defence Force ration pack Goody, you get a lot less in a USA MRE. :cake:

They are for 24hrs however we use to throw a lot in the bin
when you have to carry 6 it doesn't leave much room for anything else and they are to heavy
as for a use by date i done think there is one we were using packs that were used in vietnam when i was in
That is one of the newer ones as it has m n ms in it

Goody - Hints

The choccy is a tooth breaker, it's designed not to melt in the tropics. So break it before you put in mouth and suck on it, or use it to make hot choccy in hot water, add condensed milk to taste.

If you have a brekky compressed Weetbix - Usual prep for a cereal, however, you can eat dry and then drink plenty of water. You can feel it swell in the stomach, lol.

I can remember getting some of the old 24 hr ration packs back in the early 80's that had chocolate dated 1944.
