I am in the throes of planning my next foray into the vic. golden triangle and want to try to find out some more history about my most impressive find. That is of course the old gold ring that is my avatar. I will be calling in to the gold shop in Ballarat, and the Coiltek centre in Maryborough and also call though Bendigo. If anyone can suggest any where else I should try it would be appreciated. Things I already know are, it was made by William Lamborn in approximately 1856, there is only one other similar ring [Ballarat] and also it may have been made from the first nuggets from the Bendigo field. After this I will be in Wedderburn and surrounds for about 3 months trying my luck, may see some of you out there.
