Iv seen a youtube video of a young kid doing this, he even starts the fire without matches or lighter just those crystals. It was pretry good to watch.

A great way to have a fire and use very little wood.

and easy way is to find a log thats been eaten by termites so its already got a hole. Dig out a little hollow in the dirt and stand the log up on it then light a fire under the hole. The hole acts like a chimney and sucks the fire up the hole.
