camping ground -old bara mudgee area nsw

hi fellow diggers just been looking at the camp ground called old bara(http://www.campinmudgee.com.au) it is on private land i have contacted them and they said hand fossicking would be fine so just wondering if the area it is in was very rich in gold or other minerals and worth a look i know there were a few mines in the area back in the day just wondering if anyone elese has been there and had any luck .

Looks like a nice place to camp but I'm not sure about gold in that area. There are several areas around the Mudgee area that are known for gold. Hargraves, Windeyer, Hill End , Sofola, Gulgong. At Grattai next week (19th) for about 10 days of star gazing & maybe some fossicking during the day. Good luck.
