Button ID

A friend found this recently. It appears to be made from some sort of plastic but is very heavy. Any ideas of age or origin?.

baker light fowled anchor I think American or English navy button would be 40s or 50s looks like baker light to me

Hi,

Button is Bakelite, is US Navy or US Marine enlisted men's coat sleeve button(small) from anywhere late 1940's to early 1960's. Maybe ex- Korean War because of the larger size of the anchors flukes.
Patten changed just prior to Vietnam war.

Other use of this button was US commercial shipping deck officers coat - cold weather.
