Beach scoop protection.

Hi Guys
Some of you may already have done something like this or you maybe just dont think its nessasary but I have seen and talked to a few people that said they only get a few years out of their beach scoop..I only payed $130 for mine and it's well built and strong but I would like to get more than a few years out of it.They usually start to corrode and crack at the welds .If you fit a anode to it you should get years of use from your investment.
This anode cost $3 and has been on my scoop for about 2 years and there is no sign of corrosion. Though I do rinse it with fresh water after every use. :Y:

.Just a tip for those that are interested but make sure you use an aluminum or stainless steel nut and bolt.. :Y:

Got mine from Big w in the fishing section mate.
You can also get them from boat shops /Fishing supplies. :Y:

A Guy here in Strathpine Qld makes them and sells them on Gumtree. But that was 2yrs ago..You can get the same one from Lost treasures enoggra Qld for around $160. :Y:

Hey Smoky, you should use a nylon/plastic washer on the inside, under the nut (if using s/s fastner)
