Great work Manpa!

Just curious, do you do custom jobs / requests also?

Yes I have a couple of commissions to do over the next few months, a Ford Phaeton, circa 1920s and a rather large cement truck approx 600mm long. I try not to work to deadlines though as sometimes life gets in the way.

I will do customs if I can get plans or adapt a plan, what do you have in mind?

from what I've been told they served very well as mining haul trucks in their day

Yeah they were pretty unstoppable Some of them had over 1200 bhp and they are not that big to look at, Even as old as they are they can rival all new comers, I have seen those trucks in action and they are a sight to behold.

If I lived closer to Manpa I would buy them all in a heartbeat, They are a wonderful Tribute to an incredible Truck,

J.

The Australian Army used bonneted Scammels as the tractor for the 60ton tank transport double goose neck trailers. They were used during the Vietnam conlfictand right up to at least 1986 to transport the centurion battle tank and later the leopard tank. :skull: :power:

Yeah those are the Scammell Contractors, where most Semi's have Rockwell 44,000 Lbs Diffs the Contractors have 98500 Lbs Diffs and the Early 6x6 models never had power steering, and they had a top speed of around 70k's on a good day, :power: :power: :power:
