    Garrett Extreme

Aussie Detecting was quicker. Bottom line, do not blame the dealers. I am pretty sure that they would love to offer us a better price but they just cannot due to "Garrett" (or insert any other brand).

@gadget -Freight -Less demand due to only 23 mil people over a huge area, so less customers -higher salaries -most important: The aussies can afford to pay higher prices attitude. and so on. But I agree, it is ridiculous that we need to pay such a higher percentage.

Hi Fellas, I will be heading out to the Vic Gold Fields this weekend, first time ever. My goal is the Chewton/Castlemaine area and who knows I might get lucky. However, I was wondering about all the different areas up there and that's why I want to ask you guys. What are your experiences when...

Citigroup Sees Gold at $3,500/oz; Silver Jumping to $100/oz

Waiting for the big crash, so that I can sell all my gold/silver and invest it in shares at a point when no one wants shares anymore. I am not hoping for it but I kinda expect it to happen within the next 5-10 years.

Prospecting / Miners pick information and questions

I intend to buy one and was wondering about the different lengths. Any recommendations due to experience? I am something like 6.2 / 6.3 feet tall if that makes any difference. I was going for the 750mm pick, I just took a measurement tape and tried the different lengths like this but it is not...

    Buying from the US

@gadget In some circumstances you are right. After considering all the facts I think I will choose the aussie option. If there are any issues it is just way easier to handle it here than sending/claiming overseas. It is just not worth the few bucks you can save.

    Hi there

Not my first post but still pretty new to this forum. Moved over from Europe in April 2012 (Melbourne) and I love it here. Have always been keen on History/Relics and all that kind of stuff. However, my main focus has always been gold (so far only as investment/buying). But know due to being...
