Just a little idea for the Minelab engineers. It appears that if you are running the 6000 with the speaker on that there are some interferences in the audio, the battery sits below the speaker, you just push it in, if the speaker would have a similar connection, you would just have to push the...

if EMI is present, has anyone tried the headphones wired to the detector? If you can't hear EMI any more then the inbuilt loudspeaker could be the problem I think.

Thanks everybody for responding, It looks like the MF5 is not available to any of us gold detecting people. Minelab does not have any plans to supply the dealers with this machine. However, Minelab was asking me how many units I am interested in, and if I have government and defence force...

I know that Minelab is making this MF5 detector , it could even be used for gold detecting, I tried to find out where I can buy this machine and the cost, but to no avail. Can anybody help me with this? I emailed Minelab today about this, but they did not answer back so far. Cheers, Hermann.
