Ok that story sounded a bit weird to me, how could that old man detect all day and half of the night, (where I could only do half a day) and to get back to camp at 3 am and didn't notice the quads or the bike back at camp when he gave them to use.

I have heard that rust converter turns black when the rust has been removed, so that way it doesn't need to be painted.

@Slipped disc Thanks mate, I like the idea of clear coat. Ramjet I have tried google to find some sort of way but there is no real results that show up.

Hi all How do you keep Iron Relics from turning to rust when they are being displayed in cabinet/s. I have placed the items in white vinegar for a week to remove the rust then will use a wire scourer to rub it off. Is there any sort of powder to use or what do you recommend to use, any tips...

I have a good look at them on the internet. They look like a good product but I don't know if they will provide a good use like Minelab and Garrett.

Easy level to start detecting with, once you get to know how it works and what sound to listen out for then you can really enjoy working the detector and finding really cool items and Gold ;) Good luck with you too mate

Hi Matt the Xterra 705 is a great detector for the beginners, it has two modes prospecting and coin and treasurer. I would rate them as a great detector for people who don't want to buy those more expensive detectors as a start for detecting. I went out to Hill End last weekend with it didn't...
