1860's Wrestling buckle w/ some more goodies

Once again returned to the 'buckle triangle' as someone called it. Most of these came from the heavy ferrous trashed areas. Never saw a wrestling belt before. A couple of the buckles were damaged but gives me a little project to repair before giving back to the landowner.

4 x new cricket buckles and tokens

Hello, My current site that has given up 20 plus buckles last month and smaller relics. Yesterday the site yielded 4 more plus some tokens, a penny and some smaller relics. I'm really happy with the finds and two of them are very cool. I find it amusing one of the buckles actually has a cricket...

    Cartwheel Penny, some silvers, relics.

Hello, Spend about 4 hours today in my own little world of swing, squat, dig, pinpoint and retrieve. Wind chill factor was about 3 degrees all day but I don't mind. Some of the retrievals were not that bad. Normal set of small relics/buttons. Think I might have a fancy ink pen top but will have...

The 'Hunted Out" Coach Changing Station

Hello, Finally had a chance to get out and detect. Been school holidays and pretty crappy weather here. Even though it was only 8 degrees for the high at least it wasn't raining. I was looking back at some old research notes and decided to try an area that was always on my list of places to...

    A Canberra relic hunt

Hi, I normally post my finds on another forum but thought I would post my finds for the first time here. I detected a spot that was a hut site from the mid to late 1800's. Finds included a rowing buckle piece, NSW Police button, Vicky pennies and HP and normal personal relic finds (thimbles...
