For sale - Sp01 with canvas case and SteelPhase pro headphones $400

Used twice, in great condition. I'm just not able to get out and get the use out of such premium gear and I'd like to redirect the money to other items. Willing to sell each for $200 but reccomend taking them together Pick up from Perth, I work in the city so I can bring them in there if that...

Hi guys it's been a while!

Just thought I'd pop over and share some of the stuff I've found recently. I'm really happy with the gold coin but I also love the 1949 half crown. Not often those come up and it's the first one I've ever found. I also like the buckle ring! Most valuable would be the 14g 22k ring, it was hidden...

Found my biggest gold ring ever today

Except it was a recovery! Ring would have gone 30grams easy. Custom made wedding band. The gentleman gave me a generous reward for my efforts, but the relief on his face when I surfaced with his ring was priceless.

    Scored a bucket lister today

Not a huge value money wise, but I've always wanted to find one of those round 50c coins. Nailed it today along with a 1908 six pence and a 9k gold ring. Unfortunately I cut my hunt short a little, I ran into a crazy woman who was following me around telling me I'm ruining the beach. I asked why...

    Latest finds

It's been a while since I posted on here so I thought I might post the last month or so of finds. Lots of lead and probably $100 in coins went with this, plus the shopping bags of rubbish  There's more silver rings than this as well, but my kids keep stealing them - I found one this...

    Summer is back in action

Finally some calm weather, so I can get the seal suit on and flop around in the ocean like shark bait. 9k gold with opal. 15mmx10mm stone I also have a video of me up to my shoulder digging this out

    Underwater detectors

My nox 800 is still awaiting warranty replacement, and I've been looking at options for a detector I can take deeper under water now that I have a hookah. My first go to was the excalibur 2, however bbbs seems to struggle with gold chains and looks like its going to be replaced by multi iq. I...

    Finds from Perth

    Detector Purchase Perspectives?

I'm considering buying a detector for gold hunting - I already have a nox 800 I use every weekend but I'm looking at something for winter goldfields, I'll realistically get out there 3 times a year. I have the money to buy a GPZ, but will it find more gold than an SDC2300/GPX5000 to warranty...

Would you buy a lease, or going in shares of a lease?

I'm curious on how you would value a lease or confirm it's value. After my last trip it confirmed to me everything can look perfect, and theres little gold. Leases come up for sale fairly often, but I'm highly skeptical of them, guessing the owners have picked them clean. Going partners in a...

    Dead Nox 800?

Hello All, So I went beach hunting this morning, nox 800 threw up an "Err 11", shut it self down. I turned it back on, same again. Now it won't turn back on. Is it toast? This would be very disappointing as it's only 18 months old. I rang minelab and they said send it in, I'm really not keen...

    Camping while detecting WA

Hello, I'm planning a longer trip out around laverton and I'm bringing the family. We plan on using a motor home and a utv for me to take off on. Reading through the miners right I'm allowed to camp and take water for the purposes of prospecting, and I'm hoping a common sense approach is ok with...

    First attempt

I have mastered finding bits of iron, specifically unused staples, which is puzzling. Currently in kalgoorlie about to try my hand in a new spot tomorrow! This time without kids buzzing around me

    Choosing Between Target Areas.

I'm about to embark on my first short trip detecting, and i have 3 areas picked but unsure how to pick which to go for. All areas are in the kalgoorlie region on greenstone bedrock. 1st area has had drilling activity, sits over a archean basalt band with laterite either side and heavy looking...

    West Australia - Pending leases

Hi, something I haven't found an answer to yet and I hope it's not obvious and I've missed it - We can prospect on pending leases, but when does a lease go live and how long do I have? How do I know if the week I'm out swinging the detector the lease goes live?

    Gold panning WA

Are there any area's work a look in WA? I've been reading about donnybrook and margret river, but it seems like a waste of time?

    New Starter Questions.

Hello All! I've read through many of the threads on here and it's been invaluable in answering many questions I have, but there's a couple I'm still not clear on. I've worked in the resources sector for more than a decade now and I've worked in the goldfields (West Australia) so I'm familiar...
