Yes Lee but driving 33 hrs from Melbourne only to find very little or nothing is what concerns me but that's gold for you. If you don't go you'll never know. It would be much easier if you lived up there and could get across in a day.

What did the last target turn out to be? It seemed to give a good audio tone in the beginning and also getting closer to it in the hole. Do you find the 7000 gives more audio tones that are usually gold but have been returning a lot of junk instead?

The GPS would be a good function for gridding or chaining and completely covering a patch but I don't know about putting markers in where it finds gold. Who knows who might be able to find these spots from the information stored on your PC once downloaded from your detector. My bet would be to...
