Gday lads I haven't had a great deal of luck locating any areas basing myself from Mackay that I can just walk creeks and pan.
I've talked to a few guys but the only info they'll give me is related to swinging out west.
They say there's gold there but no water in most areas to use a sluice or...
Very sad.
He's a top bloke and has a really down to earth and informative way of passing his knowledge via his YouTube videos.
That no good Facebook at the centre of it again. I can't stand it, I've seen it cause more problems than Malcolm Turnbull.
These individuals criticising Andrew...
They're back in stock now but going to give it a miss for now, I'm coping with the bigger pump better than I thought.
Having my quad bike to ferry gear across creeks and up or downstream to my chosen spots is helpful.
Brilliant modification!!
My throttle lever linkage is all broken so I twitched tie wire around it and out to the ball valve outlets, all I do is bend the tie wire each time I need to adjust throttle up or down.
One of those things where it works so I'll just leave it that way lol.
I'll also...
Cheers for the support lads.
Had a win, this time guaranteed that my bearings were greased lol.
Onwards and upwards.
Don't let anyone push you around.
Out.
Update, Toyota haven't finished the job yet, it will be done by close of business today they say.
They have told me that the workshop foreman has concluded that it shouldn't be covered by warranty. He has suggested it's possible a bit of grit has gotten in the bearings.
I've thrown all my...
Bugger.
It's a bit hit and miss there hey.
I had a ball valve like yours on my spray bar but it was causing low pressure up the top end of the slotted bars.
I removed it and just running 1-1/2 hose into the 1" poly fittings to the spray bar and it fixed the problem immediately.
I don't...
No chance of getting the old bearings from Toyota.
No chance of a truthful explanation if they are in the wrong either, they're not silly enough to admit they are in the wrong they'll just take steps to cover it up.
I can direct them to Duncan the owner at Macquarie 4x4 who has seen Toyotas...
I haven't checked the angle but at full leg height front and rear from factory I did read that it should sit at 1 in 4 on level ground.
It looks close to that anyhow.
Thanks Jon, yes the expanded steel in the slick section definitely fixed the issue of violent water flow.
Can't wait to run some dirt through it.
Cheers mate.
Other than technical stuff like computer related issues in the new CRD I can do anything myself.
The only reason I don't is fear of voiding warranty.
I change my factory filter out every 5,000 and my secondary every 10,000.
Toyota won't change it out and I won't trust them to even if I ask...
Yeah mate first mod I did to it and my last one was a secondary fuel filter/water trap.
They had to order a new hub so apparently it won't be ready till tomorrow arvo now.
All I can hope for is they cover it under warranty because after 40,000 and they assured me it got a repack at 20,000 I...
