Leaving the Sapphire City in the morning and heading home with a night in Gloucester. Will return very soon for a longer stay.

That's a beauty Heatho, now where is that jealous button when I need it

Some great looking stones there Heatho, and I"m sure anyone will appreciate that corn flower blue one. Top quality stone is that gem. ;) Good luck on your next run up that way mate.

Cheers Wal.

Wow! What a lovely stone Heatho!

Throw a photo up when it's been cut. I bet it would look stunning set in either Gold or Silver (or Platinum if the budget allows) :D

Hope all is going great! Stay safe on those roads.
Kindest regards.

Thyanks fellas.

Anyway, was a fantastic week. Will be doing it again soon. Would make an awesome place for a Prospecting Australia group camp, a long way though well worth it.

Can't resist the urge, need a Sapphire fix, heading up to Inverell this Thursday for a few days with a mate. He twisted my rubber arm into it. Weather looks like it will be reasonable, not so hot as it has been. Will post up pics after each days digging.

Will be heading out to Billabong Blue again, hopefully we'll get a few more like that nice Blue one from last trip.

good luck mate i know that urge it is terrible it just keeps getting worse until you find a nice sapphire and it makes you feel better for ten minutes then it starts again ;)

Results from today and half of yesterday, about 2oz by eye, probably a conservative estimate. Having a ball up here. Pro ably a cew cutters in there, a lot of bombs this time but that's fossicking, still stoked to find so many though.

Great looking collection there Heatho.

I was going to post my results tomorrow from Daylesford, but it might look embarrassing compared to your haul. :/

On second thought I will post it for a laugh. :p

Cheers Varts, had an awesome time again, had a go of the water cannon at the washplant, even got paid a Sapphire for my 10 mins work, a nice Inverell Sky Blue. :D

Can't say enough great things about the owners also, top people.

Alex hard at work at the wash plant.

The haul, just under 4oz of Sappires a few Zircons and bit of Spinel too. They were mining a different part of the property this time, there are a lot of bombs but quite a few cutters also, some of the not so clear ones could probably be heat treated and turn out great, met a bloke there who cuts stones and does heat treating, will hopefully chat with him more next time I'm up there.

Had a great time, drank with some locals and made some new friends, top few days. Going to go night specking up there next time and see if any big ones pop up.

Ha, also met El Rodeo and family at Billabong Blue, nice meeting you guys, great chatting with you.
