Im new to the site.I from Ballarat. Born and bread.
Ive had my Detector a week now and i think im ready.
Looking for any info on Little Bendigo (Nerrina area).
Is the Wallaby track the right way to go. Ive been prospecting Black Hill but noting But trash.And and old cold chisel.I was reading stuff on hear yesterday but I cant bloody find it again.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

One of your best tools for historical research is www.trove.nla.gov.au and one of the best for where gold has been found in the past is geovic here https://earthresources.vic.gov.au/geology-exploration/maps-reports-data/geovic this is a mapping program and is well worth learning

Your ts 160 is probably more suited to coin and relic hunting but in saying that any machine under the right conditions might signal on gold , you just need to swing over it.
Keep posting so you can reach 10 posts and then the forum allows you to access the mebers area .and read and post in the members meet up section.
Its an adictive hobby and joining the forum was a good place to start

Na mate ..I started with a flea Bay Chinese knock off for under $60 and found heaps of gold coins
Paid for its self..
like I said its an adictive hobby and the forum is a great place to learn and meet others that share similar passions.
