Thats why i like summer hunts best.
Even if you dont find much , the scenery makes up for it ;)

Manly was not for the faint hearted today.
I usually hit the beach around 1am...If the tides are right...sometimes i see the odd person just walking in the dark... can get carried away sometimes and forget to check my surroundings

Well did a little better today guys...hit the skate park early this morning for some 20c and 50c pieces...then decided to walk across the road for some high tide detecting...Scored a few $2 and $1 coins and the find of the day was a 1918 sea shilling :D Also got one of those flower pot thingys :D

It used to be called the 15" WOT coil when labelled as a coiltek coil, now it's just a 15" accessory coil for the x-terra range - the only difference in it being black vs the previous terracotta colour and different decals. Added benefits would include increased depth and coverage over the stock coil, downside would be the weight.

SB- what frequency are enough using? 7.5khz?
Would you recommend this for beach hunting over the lower or higher frequencys?

Aidan.
Hi Aidin
Have no experience with the 3khz just the 18.75 dd and the 15 inch 7.5 khz dd...I do prefer the larger coil for the beach mate and it seems a bit more stable on the wet sand than the 18.75... :Y:
