Is the connector/charge rate suitable for your battery?
Check your old charger for details...

maybe its 12v and i pluged it into a 6v lol

no its 6v-12ah so its the same as the other one

If you have the 12v car charger you could get a transformer such as: http://m.jaycar.com.au/m_productView.asp?ID=MP3575 & just use it.
This is what I use to charge the 6v batteries as the 12v car charger has an indicator light whereas the 240v charger didn't from memory.
