The first pic shows the results of two hunts this month. One hunt has been "cleaned" (top left). The first hunt was not all that successful though it did yield another big 1/2d (date not clear but has George III so is 1805 or 1806) and the Advance Australia clip(?) (top left hand).

The second hunt was better with 5 coppers coming to light. 3 were Vickies (1853, 1854 1d and one 1/2d). I also got an 1826 George IV penny. The pick of the coins was the Cartwheel - still has some recognisable features but I have not "cleaned" it to bring details out. This is my first Cartwheel. Funnily - this paddock has now yielded 2 Cartwheels.

The other notable find for me was the VR button which states "Royal Sappers and Miners".

Nice going there Detectist,... love that old cartwheel penny,.. the emu and roo look like they might be on an old matchbox protector.
And the old button is a ripper I've not seen before. , , :D

Thanks Silver.

I hadn't thought of a matchbox protector. It is folded metal like a 2 sided pouch.

The cartwheel is a pretty exciting find, am yet to find one in SA, probably a bit rarer here than over east.

Also always great to see those old George III coins surfacing, got yourself a great spot there. :)
