It's like being on another planet isn't it.
The local caravan park make a beautiful italian pizza at night.

John's Pizza Bar is defiantly the place to go for a great feed and it is packed most most nights. Took me 20 minutes to wait in line to pay for my meal one night

I grew up and lived in SA for 24 years, have been to most places, but never Coober Pedy. It's definitely on my "to do list."

Have miners used long throw hoists to mine for opals in coober pedy?I only see blowers in old photos!Is it hard ground to dig everywhere or is it any softer fields if a guy want to have a go without explosives?How much for a 2nd hand blower?Still built in the area for newcomers to buy?Add photos if you have)
