Had a ripper day with the sdc, its my second day at detecting with it. Found these bits of rubbish first

then another target and covered by a couple of eucalyptus leaves was this nugget

this is where it was resting, left of the coil.

it takes me a years worth of panning to match that. Then another target and this strange looking rock gave a loud sound. It's very light. I found this silver looking ball in it.

going back tomorrow to try again.

Osmoridium perhaps, awesome work. Seeing a few bigger bits come from northern NSW lately, sweeeeet.

:Y: :power:  nice find BC the SDC is a great machine, when you say under leaves I take it that ment no digging. If so study that ground and keep going back :Y: that is a ripper nugget. Looks like a creek bed if so don't be shy to get the coil wet

Im still grinning now. Hopefully it's not beginers luck. The nugget was found on bed rock on the inside bend behind a big log jam. No digging just resting under the shade of a couple of leaves, The water looks to be funneling under a section of the log, pushing the lighter material of, exposing the bedrock. Up above there is a water fall, then a trench across the width of the creek. Which tapers inwards to the center from both ends. I detected this trench and got a big target in the middle section. Only one problem, the temp of the water is near freezing. Ill try and harden up and jump in tomorrow. :Y:

So, has anyone tried the Coiltek coils on their SDC? How did they go? I have seen most of the youtube vids, but I am interested in reviews from people that are not receiving freebies from coilltek.

Went back today and looked at the freezing water and wondered if it was rubbish or gold. It got the better of me so I jumped in. After a hour of searching I managed a little nugget about a gram and of course some wire. I thawed out and went searching and in a crevice I found another bit

I was stoked. Continued on searching and another crevice a strong signal and underwater again, but no swimming needed. So I splashed most of the water out and used my jumper as a sponge for the rest.

Wedged about 2 inches down in the bedrock another 1 gram nugget. That took about an hour just to see it. On the way out a little signal from behind a tree. It was frustrating as I couldnt see what it was. So I panned what was in my hand and one tiny bit of gold appeared. I couldn't believe the detector found the smallest bit. I ended up panning another two little bits.
