Nice work! something that has been on my project list as well, I keep meaning to go out to my father in laws as he has a forge in his workshop.
Leaf springs are amazing for this kind of thing (blades especially) as they contain a super high molybdenum count which gives the steel much higher hardenability.
Chris, I just did this with a grinder and a welder.
If you are careful cutting the front, you can use those offcuts for the rear section.
Angle them down a bit so it digs itself in when doing a scrape
Hehe yeah OP, I was only thinking overtime, he has a pneumatic blacksmith hammer and forge so was thinking of taking advantage and going a bit nuts, picks, spades, crevicing tools etc lol. Prob have that in mind and walk away with a bastard sword or the likes....after all Winter is here!
