Hi all well we also are new at this, very keen and lots to learn. We live in Yeppoon QLD
Next week-end we travel back to Clermont to pick up our new GPX 5000 so looking forward to it.

I know we may be in over our heads, but we have been out to Cermont and hired 2x GPX 5000 for a day each, this trip is another 2 days training using our own. Christmas we will head to Warwick for some fossicking,if anyone knows of a good spot for camping and fossicking be great to hear from you, we need all the help we can get.

Hi all just done last week-end at Clermont, not sure how many of you head out that way grass is starting to come back after the rain and 5000 with big coil was hard going.no luck for us but a lady at the caravan park picked up a nice nugget, and Andrew from the detector shop picked up a couple just showing people how to use a 5000.

We are heading up to Long gully at the end of May if anyone has been there great to get some tips, not sure what to expect up there.
