Mining & processing technology is getting better all the time. It wouldn't surprise me to see old mines re-opened in the future as better processing is evolved. We already see old tailings re-mined for that reason now.
With better & more selective mining methods + better processing methods it also wouldn't surprise me to hear of some potential mines that were previously passed over as unfeasible become feasible. High prices can kick that along too
